Recently part of our team visited one of our university customers to work directly with the combined setup of the BlackIndustry SWIR 1.7 Max and the newly released BlackIndustry RGB, and to train the team on how the system works in practice.

Visits like these are always special. Being on site, discussing real use cases and working together directly on the system creates a completely different dynamic compared to a remote meeting or presentation. We truly value the close and personal relationships we have with our customers.

Using our software, the RGB and SWIR cameras can be digitally aligned to the same scan line, allowing hyperspectral and colour data to be captured within one workflow. Within a short time, both sensors were mapped and ready to deliver combined data.

For many applications, this combination opens interesting possibilities. Material identification based on spectral signatures can now be complemented by colour information, adding another layer of validation for sorting and inspection tasks.

A big thank you to our customer at Hochschule Darmstadt for the great exchange and the opportunity to work together directly on the system. Sessions like these are also part of the training and onboarding we offer our customers, helping teams become familiar with the setup and workflow in their own environment.

We are looking forward to seeing how this setup will be used in upcoming projects.
